Stanage Edge and the Stanage Pole
As the weather continued to be settled and warm, we seized the opportunity to go out again. This time we drove to Moscar Lodge and parked below the start of Stanage Edge. An easy pull up to the edge marked the start of the very familiar walk along the top. There was a fine view of Win Hill and Kinder

The going was excellent and there was little in the way of mud and water which can be a problem when the weather is less settled.
We stopped at the trig point on High Neb for a quick photo.

We made a quick detour to the little hut along the route and ate our lunch in relative comfort. On reaching Stanage Pole we opted to return along the lower route which was more varied than going back the way we had come.

It was a pleasant path and the millstones left abandoned on the ground provided interest.

A great walk of 6.2 miles with 220m ascent.
